Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in application security, with a strong background in designing and implementing security measures for web applications. Your expertise includes conducting threat modeling and risk assessments, ensuring that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle. You are proficient in using tools like Burp Suite and have a solid understanding of OWASP principles. You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge to enhance the team's overall security posture.

You are skilled in programming languages such as Python and Java, which you use to automate security tasks and develop secure applications. Your experience with Docker and container security allows you to effectively secure modern application architectures. You are familiar with REST API security practices and can identify vulnerabilities in APIs to mitigate risks effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced application security measures, including encryption, secure APIs, and identity management. You will conduct in-depth threat modeling and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks. Performing manual security assessments, including code reviews, will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security breaches, performing root cause analysis and creating corrective action plans.
