Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong academic background in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields, with an undergraduate and/or graduate degree. With over 4 years of experience as a Product Analyst or Senior Data Analyst, you possess an excellent understanding of statistical principles and methodologies. Your advanced SQL expertise allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, while your experience with Python or R equips you to conduct thorough data analysis. You have a proven track record of setting up and evaluating complex experiments, extracting meaningful insights from data, and summarizing your findings in a clear and impactful manner.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with applied scientists and engineers to enhance data logging and data pipelines. Your ability to develop Key Performance Indicators and other metrics in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams demonstrates your strong cross-functional collaboration skills. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for refining ambiguous questions into actionable hypotheses that drive product improvements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will refine ambiguous questions and generate new hypotheses about Uber's products through a deep understanding of data, customers, and business needs. You will design experiments and interpret results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions that inform product decisions. Collaborating with cross-functional partners, you will define how success is measured by developing Key Performance Indicators and other relevant metrics. Your insights will help identify opportunities for product growth and optimization initiatives.
You will work closely with applied scientists and engineers to improve the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines. Your role will involve developing data-driven business insights that guide prioritization of product initiatives. You will be expected to wrangle large datasets, extract insights, and summarize learnings to inform strategic decisions. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of Uber's products and enhancing user experiences.
