You have a proven track record in merchandising and content strategy, ideally within the retail sector. Your experience includes leading teams and driving consumer engagement through data-driven insights and creative storytelling. You understand the nuances of the Japanese market and can craft compelling narratives that resonate with local consumers. You are adept at optimizing the shopping journey and have a keen eye for performance metrics that drive conversion. You excel in cross-functional leadership, coordinating with various teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution excellence.

Experience in the convenience retail space is a plus, as is familiarity with high-impact marketing campaigns. You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders and can influence decisions that align with broader business objectives. Your analytical skills allow you to generate actionable insights from performance data, and you are always looking for opportunities to innovate and scale best practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the local merchandising and content strategy for the Rest of Retail and Convenience categories in Japan. You will lead the execution of high-impact marketing campaigns, managing everything from planning to delivery. Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling consumer narratives based on performance data, seasonality insights, and market trends. You will optimize the end-to-end shopping journey to enhance engagement and conversion rates. Additionally, you will define success metrics and continuously track campaign and category performance, generating insights to improve the consumer experience.

You will serve as a key leader, aligning Operations, Sales, Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Legal, Product, and Global Merchandising teams. Your role will involve influencing and coordinating with senior stakeholders across functions to ensure strategic alignment. You will drive execution excellence through clear communication and collaboration, ensuring that all teams are working towards common goals.
