Who you are
You are a highly motivated Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in quality engineering and test automation. With 5+ years of experience, you have a proven track record of architecting and developing scalable test automation frameworks for mobile and web applications. Your expertise in CI/CD integration and automated testing across mobile platforms (iOS and Android) sets you apart in the field. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and ensure high product quality. Your mentorship skills shine as you provide technical guidance to junior SDET engineers and QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Desirable
Experience with tools such as Buildkite and BrowserStack is a plus, as is familiarity with various testing libraries and practices that enhance test efficiency and reliability. You are passionate about quality and innovation, always looking for ways to drive automation at scale and improve testing processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for mobile and web applications, focusing on end-to-end (E2E) test coverage. You will build and execute automated tests across mobile platforms, ensuring comprehensive test coverage as Uber transitions to a webview-focused technology stack. Collaborating closely with infrastructure teams, you will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the overall efficiency of the development process. Your leadership will guide the testing strategy, and you will identify and implement the right tools and libraries to improve test reliability and scalability. You will also take on a mentorship role, providing guidance to junior engineers and contributing to the overall growth of the quality engineering team.
