What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the creation of a multi-year technical roadmap for Core Services, ensuring that Uber's backend architecture can scale to support 100 million users. You will serve as a key member of the Architecture Review Board, setting standards for how backend services are built and deployed across the organization. Your responsibilities will include evaluating foundational technologies and making critical decisions on whether to buy or build solutions that impact the company's long-term success.
You will drive a company-wide shift towards 'Always-On' architectures, re-engineering the platform to eliminate single points of failure. Your leadership will be crucial in institutionalizing reliability practices and ensuring that the systems powering Uber's services remain resilient and efficient.
