What you'll do

As the Principal Product Manager for Machine Learning and Pricing at Upstart, you will lead the development of innovative pricing models that enhance credit risk assessment — your role will involve collaborating with machine learning researchers and data scientists to integrate new data sources and model innovations into Upstart's lending platform. You will be responsible for defining the product roadmap and prioritizing features that align with user needs and business objectives.

You will conduct user research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements — your insights will guide the team in developing features that improve the lending experience for borrowers. You will also work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of product features and monitor their performance post-launch.

Your role will require you to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership — you will articulate the value of proposed features and how they align with Upstart's mission to provide affordable credit. You will also mentor junior product managers and contribute to the overall product management culture at Upstart.
