You have extensive experience in risk management, ideally within the financial services sector, and a proven track record of developing and executing risk frameworks that align with regulatory standards. Your strategic mindset allows you to act as a senior business partner to management, ensuring that both financial and non-financial risks are effectively managed to support growth. You are adept at leveraging data-driven insights to enhance internal control systems and provide transparency for confident decision-making.
You possess strong leadership skills and have successfully led teams in developing risk management strategies that safeguard assets while scaling risk infrastructure. Your ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels is a key strength. You are committed to fostering a culture of risk awareness and compliance within the organization.
What you'll do
As the Head of Risk, you will be responsible for the strategic integration of risk management into Upvest's core business operations. You will lead the development and execution of a robust risk framework that ensures full compliance with BaFin and FCA standards, including MaRisk, ICAAP, ILAAP, and ICARA. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the management team to identify and mitigate risks that could impact the company's growth trajectory.
You will implement automated monitoring systems to strengthen internal controls and provide the necessary transparency for decision-making. Your goal is to safeguard Upvest's assets while scaling the risk infrastructure as the company expands its footprint in the investment landscape. You will also be responsible for reporting on risk management activities and outcomes to the board and other stakeholders, ensuring that risk considerations are integrated into strategic planning and operational processes.
