Upwork is seeking a Senior Functional Workday Analyst to lead the configuration and optimization of Workday modules. You'll contribute to the HR technology strategy and ensure continuous improvement in HR systems. This role requires expertise in HR systems and analytics.

Who you are

You have a strong background in HR systems analysis, particularly with Workday, and possess a deep understanding of HR processes and technology. With at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, you have successfully led projects that enhance HR functionalities and improve user experience. Your analytical skills allow you to assess system performance and identify areas for optimization, ensuring that HR technology aligns with business goals.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to drive HR initiatives. Your communication skills enable you to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of HR technology's impact on the organization. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for problem-solving, which helps you navigate complex HR challenges.

Desirable

Experience with additional HR systems or tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data analytics and reporting. You are proactive in staying updated on HR technology trends and best practices, which allows you to bring innovative ideas to the table. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and deadlines sets you apart.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of Upwork’s Workday Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking modules. You will work closely with HR and IT teams to ensure that the systems meet the needs of the organization and its employees. Your responsibilities will include analyzing system performance, gathering user feedback, and implementing enhancements that improve functionality and user experience.

You will also contribute to the broader HR technology strategy, ensuring that Upwork's systems are aligned with industry standards and best practices. This will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for integration and automation within HR processes. You will play a key role in training and supporting HR staff in utilizing Workday effectively, ensuring they are equipped to leverage the system's capabilities fully.
