You have a strong background in AI research and development, with a focus on evaluation and reliability of AI systems. Your experience includes working with large datasets and developing algorithms that enhance AI performance. You are familiar with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and you have a passion for applying these technologies to real-world problems.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to drive AI initiatives forward. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the research and development efforts for AI evaluation and reliability at Upwork. You will be responsible for designing and implementing evaluation frameworks that assess the performance of AI models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability and accuracy. You will collaborate with the AI Foundations team to enhance Upwork's flagship AI model, Uma, and contribute to the deployment of AI systems across various applications.
You will also engage in data analysis to identify areas for improvement in AI performance and work on developing innovative solutions that leverage AI technologies to enhance user experiences. Your role will involve mentoring junior researchers and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.
