Overview

Vanta is seeking a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead a high-performing team focused on technical sales excellence. You'll partner with Sales and Customer Success to enhance the customer experience and drive expansion in the Upmarket segment. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in leading teams, ideally in a technical sales environment, where you've successfully driven sales processes and improved customer engagement. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in Sales and Customer Success, to ensure a seamless customer journey. You understand the importance of technical qualification and discovery in complex sales cycles, and you are adept at building scalable processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your leadership style is supportive and empowering, fostering a culture of growth and excellence within your team. You are passionate about security and compliance, and you understand the critical role it plays in building trust with customers.

Desirable

Experience in the security or compliance industry is a plus, as is familiarity with standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. You may also have a background in technical sales or solutions engineering, which will help you navigate the complexities of the role more effectively.

What you'll do

As the Manager of Solutions Engineering at Vanta, you will lead and coach a growing team of Solutions Engineers focused on Upmarket renewals and expansion. You will partner closely with Sales to navigate complex sales cycles, improving technical discovery, qualification, demo effectiveness, and validation motions like proof of concept. Your role will involve building repeatable, scalable pre-sales processes that support the achievement of technical wins.

You will play a critical role in shaping the technical sales motion for Vanta’s most strategic opportunities, ensuring that your team delivers a world-class experience for prospective and existing customers alike. Your leadership will help unlock new markets and accelerate expansion into regulated industries, making security continuous and transparent for thousands of companies.
