Who you are

You have a strong background in business intelligence and data analytics, with experience in developing reliable and stable BI solutions. You understand the importance of connecting and empowering users to make informed decisions based on data. Your ability to communicate effectively with business areas and the Business Analyst community allows you to understand their needs and propose the best solutions. You are passionate about delivering training and ensuring best practices are applied within the community.

You possess a solid understanding of data lineage and are skilled in modeling and transforming data to make it usable for analysts. Your technical expertise includes designing, developing, and maintaining APIs using Python, specifically with Flask and flask_restful. You are familiar with documenting and versioning APIs using tools like Swagger, ensuring that best practices such as error handling, validation, and automated testing are applied consistently.

You are experienced in using Git for code quality and traceability, and you are comfortable with CI/CD practices. Your ability to manage and orchestrate workflows, including scheduling and monitoring jobs and pipelines, ensures that dependencies and SLAs are met in collaboration with Data Engineers. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with data governance, data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts in a young and international team.

Desirable

Experience with data governance and data quality practices is a plus. Familiarity with automation tools and Python utilities for data extraction will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In your role as a BI Developer at Veepee, you will be the first point of contact for business areas and the Business Analyst community, helping them navigate their data challenges. You will design and implement business intelligence solutions that empower users to make data-driven decisions. Your responsibilities will include delivering training sessions on best practices for dashboard and self-service usage, ensuring that the Business Analyst community is well-equipped to leverage data effectively.

You will work with the Data Warehouse built on GCP (Google BigQuery) and utilize dbt for data transformation. Your role will involve modeling data to ensure it is accessible and usable for analysts in Strategy. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining APIs in Python, focusing on exposing data and analytical services. This includes building REST APIs with Flask and ensuring they are well-documented and versioned.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Data Engineers to manage and orchestrate workflows, ensuring that jobs and pipelines are scheduled and monitored effectively. You will also engage with data governance and data quality initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the data strategy at Veepee.
