Business Intelligence Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in business intelligence and data analytics, with experience in developing and maintaining data solutions that empower users to make informed decisions. You understand the importance of data lineage and can model and transform data effectively for analysis. Your expertise in Python allows you to design and develop APIs that expose analytical services, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process.

You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly GCP and BigQuery, and have experience using dbt for data transformation. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and analysts, enables you to understand their needs and challenges, and propose effective solutions. You are passionate about sharing knowledge and best practices within the Business Analyst community, providing training and guidance to enhance their capabilities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for business areas and the Business Analyst community at Veepee. You will connect and support users by delivering reliable business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining APIs using Python and Flask, ensuring that they are well-documented and adhere to best practices such as error handling and automated testing.

You will manage and orchestrate workflows to schedule and monitor jobs, ensuring that dependencies and SLAs are met in coordination with Data Engineers. Your role will also involve collaborating with data governance, data scientists, and data analysts to ensure that data quality and integrity are maintained across the organization. You will play a key role in energizing the Business Analyst community by delivering training sessions and promoting best practices in data usage and analysis.
