Who you are
You are a seasoned legal professional with 12+ years of experience, particularly in product counseling, privacy, and regulatory matters. You hold a California Bar admission or are eligible for Registered In-House Counsel exception and are in good standing. Your background includes leading legal teams and developing strategies that align with business objectives.
You possess strong analytical skills and can translate complex legal requirements into actionable guidance for product teams. Your experience has equipped you with the ability to build scalable programs using policies, playbooks, templates, and trainings, ensuring compliance while enabling rapid product development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead Vercelβs privacy program and regulatory strategy, ensuring that the company adheres to legal standards while maintaining product velocity. You will oversee the legal teamβs incident response processes and manage IP strategy and litigation matters. Collaborating closely with Security, Trust & Safety, and GRC teams, you will ensure that legal considerations are integrated into product development processes.
You will be responsible for creating and implementing frameworks that guide product teams in navigating legal complexities. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of compliance and risk management within the organization, enabling teams to ship products efficiently and responsibly.
