Who you are
You have extensive experience in product counseling and legal support, ideally with a focus on technology and product development. Your background includes working closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Design, to ensure compliance and legal considerations are integrated into the product lifecycle. You are a strategic thinker who can build scalable processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in product development.
As a leader, you are comfortable managing a team while also being hands-on in certain product areas. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to serve as a primary strategic partner to various stakeholders across the organization. Your ability to integrate innovative tools, including AI, into legal processes sets you apart as a forward-thinking legal professional.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead Vercel's product counseling function, acting as a βplayer coachβ to manage a team of product counsel while also serving as the legal lead for specific product areas. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders, ensuring that legal considerations are addressed throughout the product development lifecycle. Your focus will be on building scalable processes that allow Vercel to ship products faster and smarter, particularly in areas related to privacy and regulatory matters.
You will reimagine the role of product counseling within the organization, leveraging AI tools to enhance the impact of legal support on product development. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of compliance and innovation, ensuring that Vercel continues to deliver exceptional products while adhering to legal standards. You will also be responsible for mentoring your team, helping them grow in their roles and develop their skills in product counseling.
