Compliance Manager • Lead

Who you are

You have a strong background in compliance and risk management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise in security practices enables you to effectively manage and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You are skilled in building scalable, automated programs that support rapid business growth while maintaining customer trust. Your ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Security, IT, Engineering, Product, and Legal is essential for providing guidance on security controls implementation. You are proactive in researching and maintaining tooling for testing and continuous monitoring of security controls across multiple platforms, including AWS and GitHub.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in physical security will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are a strong communicator, capable of curating information for customers about security practices and compliance measures. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build and lead the GRCA function within Verkada’s Security Team. You will manage risks and scale the compliance needs of the organization as it grows. Your responsibilities will include working closely with various teams to implement security controls effectively. You will research, build, and maintain tooling for testing and continuous monitoring of security controls across multiple platforms, ensuring that Verkada meets sophisticated security and compliance expectations. You will maintain the roadmap for compliance initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. Your leadership will be critical in fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
