You have a strong background in embedded Linux development, with hands-on experience in Linux system bring-up and a deep understanding of the Linux kernel and device trees. Your expertise in the Yocto Project allows you to create custom Linux distributions tailored to specific hardware requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a team focused on launching innovative products. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can navigate complex technical challenges with ease.
You have experience working in fast-paced environments, where you have successfully contributed to the development of embedded systems. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including firmware and mobile engineers, ensures that you can align technical direction with product goals. You are passionate about building reliable and scalable systems that meet the needs of users and stakeholders alike.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be instrumental in launching a brand-new product line, focusing on embedded Linux development. Your primary responsibilities will include deep-diving into the Linux environment, working with the Linux kernel, device trees, and userspace applications. You will leverage your expertise in the Yocto Project to create and maintain custom Linux images that support the new product's hardware.
You will collaborate closely with a small team of experienced engineers, contributing to the technical direction of the product while adhering to solid engineering practices. Your role will involve troubleshooting and optimizing the Linux environment to ensure that the product operates reliably and efficiently. You will also participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
