You have significant experience in tax compliance and provision, particularly in managing both direct and indirect tax functions. Your background includes overseeing the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You possess a strong understanding of ASC 740 and have led detailed reviews of global income tax provisions prepared by third-party consultants.

Your ability to bridge the gap between hardware supply chains and cloud-software revenue is crucial as you drive tax optimization strategies. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

What you'll do

As a Tax Senior/Tax Lead at Verkada, you will take ownership of both direct and indirect tax functions, playing a critical role in the Finance team. You will lead the detailed review of quarterly and annual global income tax provisions, ensuring compliance while optimizing tax strategies as the company prepares for an IPO. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns, collaborating closely with third-party consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You will also be responsible for managing daily indirect tax matters, ensuring that all tax-related activities align with the company's strategic goals. Your expertise will be essential in driving tax optimization initiatives, helping the company navigate the complexities of tax regulations as it scales. You will report directly to the Director of Tax & Treasury, contributing to the overall financial strategy and compliance framework of the organization.
