Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in revenue accounting, with a focus on the financial close process and revenue cycle management. Your experience includes handling accounts receivable invoicing, cash application, and revenue contract reviews. You are familiar with ASC 606 and understand the nuances of revenue recognition. You possess excellent analytical skills and can perform month-end analytics and reconciliations effectively. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate financial records.
Desirable
Experience with SEC filings and revenue disclosures is a plus. Familiarity with financial software and tools that enhance accounting processes will be beneficial. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement within the revenue accounting function and are eager to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will perform monthly revenue accounting close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. You will calculate revenue reserves and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Collaborating with various departments, you will resolve discrepancies and ensure that all outstanding items are addressed promptly. You will complete ASC 606 checklists for new revenue-generating contracts and assist in preparing revenue disclosures for SEC filings. Your contributions will help shape the financial landscape of Roblox as you work closely with the Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager.
