Who you are

You have 5-7 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Administrator, and you're ready to take the next step in your career. You possess a solid foundational understanding of Google SRE principles and have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform. Your strong cloud expertise in AWS allows you to navigate complex cloud environments with ease.

You are familiar with CI/CD tooling and modern deployment practices, ensuring that you can effectively manage and automate the deployment of applications. Your understanding of reliability, observability, and incident response practices is robust, enabling you to maintain high availability and performance in production systems. Exposure to OpenTelemetry is highly regarded, as it aligns with your commitment to observability and monitoring.

What you'll do

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at VGW, you will focus on ensuring the reliability of our systems as we bring new games to life. You will own your projects from development through to deployment and operation, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the lifecycle. You will work closely with the engineering team to build a new platform system, emphasizing reliability from the start.

You will implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like GitHub Actions to streamline the deployment process. Your expertise in Terraform will be crucial for provisioning and managing our infrastructure, allowing for efficient and repeatable deployments. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance and reliability, using tools and practices that align with SRE principles.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve incidents, ensuring that our systems remain operational and performant. You will contribute to the development of best practices for incident response and reliability, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
