You understand the importance of data quality and have a track record of proposing policies and standards that enhance data governance. You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with business, technical, and operational teams to align governance initiatives with strategic processes. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough analyses that inform governance proposals, and you are comfortable presenting these to committees for validation and approval.

Desirable

Experience with AI-enabled mechanisms for metadata discovery and quality monitoring is a plus — you are eager to introduce innovative solutions that enhance governance maturity and scalability. Familiarity with enterprise data catalogs and operational processes will help you guide the functional implementation of governed data assets effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the implementation of Data Governance across Viamericas, ensuring that the organization’s data assets are managed, standardized, and trusted. You will propose policies, standards, and data quality rules that establish a robust Data Governance Framework. Collaborating with various business units, development teams, and architecture leaders, you will facilitate the integration of governed data assets into operational processes. Your role will involve promoting Data Governance best practices throughout the organization, helping to foster a data-driven culture. You will also guide the functional implementation of the enterprise data catalog, ensuring that data governance initiatives align with the organization’s strategic processes and value chain. Additionally, you will introduce AI-enabled mechanisms to enhance metadata discovery and automate quality monitoring, driving the organization towards greater governance maturity.
