Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. With strong Python skills, you are eager to learn additional programming languages and have a solid background in cloud systems software engineering. Your debugging and problem-solving skills are excellent, allowing you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You have experience with CI/CD processes, particularly using Jenkins or similar tools, and are familiar with cloud technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker. Your knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform is strong, and you understand the principles of cloud automation. You are well-versed in the DevOps domain and have experience in automating unit, spec, and integration tests for cloud software. Additionally, you have experience in designing and automating monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Alertmanager.

What you'll do

In this role, you will join Vonage's Cloud Engineering teams to innovate and enhance the Vonage Video Platform. You will be responsible for hands-on software development and designing scalable cloud systems. Your key responsibilities will include implementing new features for cloud automation and improving the scalability of the Vonage Video Platform. You will contribute to the architecture of a highly distributed, scalable, and highly available platform, focusing on resource optimization strategies. Collaborating with other teams, you will work on projects involving cloud automation, infrastructure automation, and cloud networking. You will design and develop approaches to monitor, evaluate, and improve service quality, ensuring that the platform meets high standards of performance and reliability.
