Vonage is seeking a Senior Voice Engineer to design and enhance global enterprise voice systems. You'll work with SIP technologies and support carrier-grade voice infrastructure in Wroclaw, Poland.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 7β10+ years of experience in voice engineering, operations, or telecom infrastructure β you've designed and maintained complex voice systems that ensure high call quality and uptime. Your strong understanding of SIP stack architecture allows you to troubleshoot call setup and signaling issues effectively.
Hands-on experience with SBCs and policy servers is essential β you are familiar with Ribbon technology and have a solid grasp of voice routing and QoS. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure voice services.
You are comfortable supporting 24x7 operations and have experience with incident management β your ability to respond to high-severity incidents ensures that service delivery remains uninterrupted. Your proactive approach to implementing monitoring and automation improves operational efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support and maintain Vonage's voice infrastructure, including SBCs, policy servers, and voice gateways. You will troubleshoot SIP signaling and call flow issues across global platforms, ensuring that our enterprise voice systems operate seamlessly.
You will participate in an on-call rotation, responding to high-severity incidents as needed β your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our voice services. Collaborating closely with DevOps, Cloud, Network, and Security teams, you will ensure that our service delivery is both reliable and secure.
You will partner with vendors for platform updates, tuning, and escalations β your insights will help refine our voice environment and contribute to its continuous improvement. Documenting processes and designs will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that knowledge is shared across the team.
