Waabi is hiring a Systems Engineer to own the creation and verification of vehicle platform requirements for self-driving technology. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure safety and efficiency in the development process. This role requires a strong understanding of sensors and systems used in autonomous vehicles.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a deep understanding of the sensors, compute, and actuators used in self-driving vehicles — your expertise allows you to drive an architecture that generates a simple yet highly safe autonomous vehicle platform. You are a central point of contact for vehicle platform requirements and related tests, effectively communicating updates and potential roadblocks to stakeholders at all levels. You are committed to driving Waabi’s safety culture through the application of safety standards and methodologies across all supporting teams, including Systems Engineering, Hardware, and Software.
You possess strong analytical skills and can define necessary improvements for highly realistic simulators to effectively evaluate vehicle performance. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with diverse teams, ensuring that all aspects of vehicle platform requirements are aligned and verified efficiently. You are passionate about contributing to the next generation of self-driving technology and are eager to make a positive impact in the world.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the creation, documentation, alignment, and verification of vehicle platform requirements at Waabi. You will define ways to describe and evaluate these requirements effectively, ensuring that they meet the highest safety standards. You will act as a liaison between various teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to drive the development of a highly autonomous vehicle platform.
You will help foster a culture of safety within the organization, applying relevant safety standards and methodologies in your area of responsibility. Your role will involve continuous improvement of the simulation tools used to evaluate vehicle performance, ensuring that they are realistic and effective in assessing the capabilities of the autonomous systems being developed. You will also be responsible for documenting progress and communicating updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the development process.
