Who you are
You have a strong background in systems engineering with a focus on behavioral requirements and verification — your experience includes defining and documenting system behaviors in complex environments. You understand vehicle interactions and can effectively communicate these requirements to stakeholders at all levels. Your passion for self-driving technologies drives you to solve challenging problems and create innovative solutions that enhance safety and performance.
You have experience in launching driverless products and a solid understanding of the automotive self-driving industry — this background equips you with the insights needed to navigate the complexities of self-driving technology. You are familiar with building software systems from scratch and have a keen interest in robotics or machine learning, which complements your engineering skills. Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis is second nature to you, allowing you to evaluate system behaviors efficiently.
Desirable
Experience in the automotive self-driving industry is a plus, as is familiarity with safety standards and methodologies. You are comfortable working with highly realistic simulators and can define necessary improvements to verify driving behaviors under various conditions. What you'll do
In this role, you will own the creation, documentation, alignment, and verification of all behavioral system requirements at Waabi. You will act as a central point of contact for all matters related to behavioral requirements and communicate updates, progress, and potential roadblocks to stakeholders. Your work will help drive Waabi's safety culture through the application of safety standards across all supporting teams, including Systems Engineering, Hardware, and Software.
You will define necessary improvements for Waabi's highly realistic simulator to effectively verify all driving behaviors under required conditions. Collaborating with other teams, you will ensure that the improvements are designed and implemented effectively. Your role will involve a significant amount of communication and coordination, making your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly essential.
