Who you are
You have a strong background in systems engineering with a focus on behavioral requirements and verification — your experience includes leading projects that define and document vehicle behaviors and interactions effectively. You understand the complexities of self-driving technology and can communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Your expertise in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis allows you to drive improvements in simulation and verification processes.
You are passionate about safety and have experience applying safety standards and methodologies in engineering contexts — you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to enhance safety culture. Your leadership skills enable you to guide small teams of systems engineers, fostering innovation and problem-solving.
Desirable
Experience in launching a driverless product is a plus, as is a background in robotics or machine learning. You have a proven track record of building software systems from scratch and are familiar with the automotive self-driving industry.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the creation and documentation of behavioral system requirements at Waabi, ensuring alignment and verification across all teams. You will act as a central point of contact for behavioral requirements, communicating updates and potential roadblocks to stakeholders. Your work will involve defining necessary improvements for Waabi's highly realistic simulator to verify driving behaviors under various conditions.
You will collaborate with Systems Engineering, Hardware, and Software teams to implement safety standards and methodologies, driving a culture of safety throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will also include evaluating and improving the processes for documenting and verifying vehicle behaviors, ensuring that all requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
