You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering, with a strong background in developing scalable machine learning systems. Your expertise in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow and Keras allows you to build robust models that drive innovation in autonomous driving technology. You are skilled in data analysis and understand the importance of combining expert human judgment with advanced machine learning techniques to improve evaluation metrics.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to architect and implement solutions that enhance the Waymo Driver's performance. Your passion for research and development in machine learning drives you to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field, ensuring that your contributions are at the forefront of technology.
Desirable
Experience with simulation workflows and insight tools is a plus, as is familiarity with statistical rigor in machine learning applications. You have a keen interest in embodied AI applications and are eager to promote scientific methodologies in your work.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end strategy for the next generation of machine learning-based evaluation metrics. You will architect and build scalable systems that integrate machine learning models with evaluation processes, ensuring that the Waymo Driver meets the highest standards of performance and safety. Your work will involve improving and speeding up the evaluation and onboarding journeys for developers, making it easier for them to leverage the Waymo Driver's capabilities.
You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop innovative solutions that enhance the Waymo Driver's evaluation systems. This includes designing experiments, analyzing data, and iterating on models to achieve optimal results. What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $281,000—$356,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
