What you'll do
In this role, you will design, implement, and evaluate new algorithms and models to improve the selection of pick-up and drop-off points, focusing on factors such as walking inconvenience, safety, traffic, and user preferences. You will collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to ensure that your software integrates seamlessly with the Waymo Driver. Your work will involve enhancing simulation capabilities to test and validate your algorithms effectively. You will also analyze data from real-world operations to refine your models continuously. As part of a hybrid team, you will report to a Technical Lead Manager and participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000 to $302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
