What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Waymo, you will lead a team focused on scaling the mapping infrastructure that supports our autonomous driving technology. You will evaluate and launch machine learning models that automatically generate high-definition maps from raw data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our mapping processes. Your role will involve resource planning and acquisition, as well as monitoring and serving infrastructure for state-of-the-art machine learning models. You will collaborate with various teams within Waymo to ensure that the mapping data is effectively utilized across different applications and platforms. You will also be responsible for transforming the mapping schema to enhance data processing capabilities and improve overall system performance. Your leadership will guide the team in implementing best practices and innovative solutions to meet the challenges of autonomous driving.
