What you'll do
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Waymo, you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art simulations that accurately reflect real-world scenarios for the Waymo Driver. You will apply advanced machine learning algorithms to model realistic agents, including vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, ensuring that our simulations are both challenging and representative of actual driving conditions. Your work will involve enhancing the fidelity of simulations through the use of large datasets and cutting-edge ML technologies. You will collaborate closely with the Simulator Team to design and implement solutions that improve the performance of the Waymo Driver in various environments. You will also engage in testing and validating the effectiveness of your models, iterating on designs based on performance metrics and feedback from the team. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and reliability of autonomous driving technology, making a difference in the lives of many.
