Who you are
You have extensive experience in engineering design, particularly in mechanical, electrical, and civil systems. Your background includes developing specifications and procedures to eliminate single points of failure in critical facilities. You are skilled in performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), allowing you to identify weaknesses and quantify risks effectively. As a subject matter expert, you review design documents and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with targeted redundancy topologies. You are detail-oriented and capable of creating comprehensive Integrated Systems Testing and operational readiness procedures to validate the resilience of complex utility and infrastructure systems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development and refinement of engineering designs and specifications aimed at enhancing the reliability of critical facilities. You will conduct rigorous FMEA and RCA on existing and proposed systems, providing clear recommendations for risk mitigation. Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing all design documents, equipment specifications, and construction submittals to ensure they meet the necessary redundancy standards. You will also create detailed testing procedures to validate the failover capabilities of inter-dependent systems, ensuring operational readiness and resilience.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $223,000—$241,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
