Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in designing and deploying network solutions that support complex IT architectures. Your expertise in Cisco networking technologies allows you to create robust and scalable network infrastructures that meet business needs. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of validating and implementing procedures that guide both internal teams and external partners. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company design guidelines.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can troubleshoot network issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Your communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of network strategies and implementations. You are passionate about staying updated with the latest networking technologies and trends, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Desirable
Experience with cloud networking solutions and familiarity with IT security practices would be advantageous. Knowledge of network monitoring tools and methodologies is a plus, as is any experience in the autonomous vehicle industry or related fields.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and reviewing Engineering Design Plans (EDPs) for various sites, ensuring they align with Waymo's design guidelines. You will validate, implement, and maintain Methods of Procedures (MOPs) that guide both internal teams and external implementation partners, ensuring that network deployments are executed smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve deploying and configuring essential network devices, ensuring they are optimized for performance and reliability.
You will collaborate with the Digital Transformation team to define and build the business IT architecture that supports the commercial operation of Waymo's autonomous fleet. This includes working at the intersection of finance, operations, and IT to ensure that Waymo has world-class capabilities across all its business processes. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving network issues, providing support to internal teams and external partners as needed.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $175,000—$221,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan. You will have access to generous company benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
