Overview
Waymo is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to enhance their core simulation systems. You'll collaborate with US teams and work with C++, Python, and Angular. This position requires 5+ years of software development experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in building popular products, whether internal or external-facing. Your hands-on experience has equipped you with the technical leadership and communication skills necessary to thrive in a collaborative environment. You possess strong development proficiency in C++, Python, or Angular, and are eager to expand your expertise across both backend and full stack products. Experience working in a distributed organization with US teams is preferred, as is any previous management experience.
What you'll do
In this hybrid role, you will report to an Engineering Director and collaborate with your peers in the US to work on the next generation of AI-driven UI for an internal simulation tool. Your responsibilities will include building a full-stack product using Alphabet's tech stack, as well as improving, monitoring, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of the simulator. You will be instrumental in designing the future of transportation by contributing to the development of systems that enhance Waymo's core simulation capabilities.
