Desirable
Experience with large-scale simulation and evaluation platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with modular architecture design. You may also have a background in autonomous systems or related fields, which would further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing systems that enhance the productivity of onboard engineers at Waymo. You will work on evolving and scaling the simulation and evaluation platform, aiming to accelerate the software development process significantly. Your tasks will include designing and implementing reliable systems that support large-scale simulations and evaluations, as well as developing pipelines for reinforcement learning-based fine-tuning. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to identify critical needs and bottlenecks, ensuring that the tools and infrastructure you build effectively support their work. You will also engage in continuous improvement efforts, iterating on existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
What we offer
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $216,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
