You have a B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience. With 3+ years of experience in software engineering, you have a strong foundation in programming languages, particularly C++ and Golang. You are passionate about building reliable and scalable systems, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work with cross-functional teams. You understand the importance of user experience and are committed to delivering high-quality software solutions. You are eager to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of innovative simulation products.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning frameworks and deployment strategies is a plus. Familiarity with simulation technologies and infrastructure will help you excel in this role. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys learning new technologies and methodologies to enhance your skill set.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer at Waymo, you will be responsible for building and evolving the ML inference infrastructure that supports our simulation products. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and data scientists to ensure the reliability, latency, and overall user experience of ML model deployment and serving. Your role will involve designing and implementing robust systems that can handle large-scale simulations, contributing to the evaluation of the Waymo Driver's software stack. You will also participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and collaborate on best practices for software development.

Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $216,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and an equity incentive plan.
