What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Simulator Platform team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing simulation solutions that are critical for testing and training the Waymo Driver. You will collaborate with machine learning engineers to implement advanced algorithms that improve the fidelity and scalability of simulations.

You will design and build systems that model realistic environments, including agents such as vehicles and pedestrians, as well as traffic control systems and weather conditions. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of autonomous driving technology.

You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the simulation platform, ensuring that it meets the high standards required for autonomous vehicle testing. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help them grow in their careers.

Your role will involve continuous learning and adaptation as you stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and simulation technologies. You will be encouraged to propose new ideas and improvements that can enhance the performance of the Waymo Driver.
