You possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++, and you have experience with machine learning frameworks. Your familiarity with Docker and cloud technologies allows you to build scalable and efficient systems that can handle large datasets and complex simulations.
You are a problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging engineering problems, particularly in the context of autonomous systems. You understand the importance of building reliable and maintainable code, and you are committed to following best practices in software development.

What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Simulator Platform team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing simulation solutions that are critical for testing and training the Waymo Driver. You will collaborate with machine learning engineers to implement advanced algorithms that improve the fidelity and scalability of simulations.
You will design and build systems that model realistic environments, including agents such as vehicles and pedestrians, as well as traffic control systems and weather conditions. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of autonomous driving technology.
You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the simulation platform, ensuring that it meets the high standards required for autonomous vehicle testing. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help them grow in their careers.
