Your expertise in machine learning and deep learning allows you to contribute effectively to the development of advanced algorithms that enhance the Waymo Driver's capabilities. You are comfortable working with large datasets and have experience in evaluating on-road performance metrics. Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for onboard motion planning systems, focusing on enhancing the Waymo Driver's low-speed maneuvering performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components. Your responsibilities will include improving evaluation capabilities to better understand on-road performance and developing metrics to assess system effectiveness.

You will mentor junior engineers, guiding them through technical challenges and helping them grow in their careers. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for software engineering within the organization.
