You are an experienced language professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring high-quality translations. Your background in reviewing and refining customer service content makes you well-suited for this role. You understand the nuances of Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) and can identify areas for improvement in machine-translated materials. You are familiar with project guidelines and can apply them effectively to your work. Your ability to produce high-quality human translations serves as a valuable reference for model training and quality evaluation. You are proactive in identifying recurring issues and trends in machine translation quality, contributing to the overall improvement of the project.
What you'll do
In this role, you will edit and review machine-translated customer service content, ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency. You will evaluate the quality of machine translation output and apply severity ratings as required, following the established project guidelines. Your work will involve producing high-quality human translations that serve as reference data for model training and quality evaluation. You will adhere to provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements, ensuring that all content aligns with the project's standards. Additionally, you will identify and report recurring quality issues and batch-level trends, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the machine translation process. This position involves intermittent work, with tasks assigned on an ad hoc basis throughout the year, depending on client needs.
