Job Description
Who you are
You are a freelance linguist with a strong command of both English and Cherokee, ideally with experience in marketing translation. You have a keen interest in IT, software, and social media, which will help you understand the context of the translations you will be working on. Your availability is flexible, and you can commit to short deadlines, typically within 24-48 hours, for small translation tasks. You are comfortable working in a team environment, collaborating with other translators to ensure high-quality output through peer reviews.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for translating marketing materials from English to Cherokee, ensuring that the translations are accurate and culturally relevant. You will also engage in post-editing tasks, refining translations to meet client expectations. Regular communication with your team will be essential, as you will review each other's work to maintain quality standards.
