What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering team, you will design and build distributed systems that enhance the reliability of Whatnot's platform — your work will directly impact the user experience as you ensure that services are resilient and performant. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define reliability standards and best practices that guide the development process.

You will take the lead on projects that focus on improving system reliability — this includes building frameworks that automate reliability testing and monitoring, as well as implementing solutions that address potential points of failure. Your role will involve hands-on coding, as well as strategic planning to align engineering efforts with business goals.

You will also participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers — sharing your knowledge and experience will help elevate the team's overall skill level and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
