You have 5+ years of experience in the design industry, including at least 1 year in a product-led organization — you've successfully delivered multiple cross-functional projects and understand the nuances of user experience design. Your excellent written and verbal English communication skills enable you to articulate design decisions clearly to both creative and non-design stakeholders. You form well-informed opinions while remaining open to new insights, embodying the principle of 'strong opinions, loosely held'. Your familiarity with user-centric best practices and design thinking principles allows you to create engaging and effective designs that resonate with users.

You possess strategic planning skills, enabling you to define quarterly or sprint design roadmaps that align with product goals. Your project management abilities ensure that you can track progress effectively and provide recommendations on effective AI use to streamline workflows. You thrive in a collaborative environment, fostering a culture of growth and innovation within your team.

What you'll do

As a Lead Visual Designer in the Consumer Rentals team, you will help shape intuitive, beautiful, and high-quality user experiences for over 75M monthly active users across web and native applications. You will become a subject matter expert in rental discovery and decision-making journeys, designing for consumer surfaces such as property detail pages, search interfaces, map experiences, and marketing landing pages. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that design solutions meet user needs and business objectives.

You will lead design projects from concept to execution, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality and align with the overall vision of the product. Your ability to communicate design decisions effectively will be crucial in gaining buy-in from stakeholders and ensuring that the design process is transparent and collaborative. You will also mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
