Machine Learning Engineer • Internship

Who you are

You are currently enrolled in a short-term college, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program, and you are expected to graduate by the end of March 2028. You are available for a three-month on-site internship starting in June or August 2026, and you have less than 24 months of full-time work experience in the technology field. You possess a strong understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including optimization techniques, loss functions, and model architectures, with practical knowledge for stable learning. You have experience in one of the following areas: self-supervised learning, video generation models, or large-scale pre-training. You are proficient in using data processing, analysis, and visualization libraries such as Jupyter, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn. You have the ability to read and communicate in English at a level sufficient for understanding technical documents.

Desirable

You have experience in training and scaling Transformer or Diffusion models in the Vision or Video domain. You have experience with distributed learning techniques such as DDP, FSDP, or DeepSpeed, and you are familiar with AWS services. High communication skills in Japanese are also a plus.

What you'll do

As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will be part of a team that contributes to significant projects aimed at expanding the definition of mobility and how it benefits society. You will work closely with experienced engineers who will mentor you throughout your internship. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing machine learning models, conducting experiments, and analyzing results to improve model performance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into various applications, contributing to the mission of creating innovative mobility solutions.
