What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Data Search team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing data access solutions for autonomous driving applications. You will design and implement data pipelines that efficiently handle petabytes of data collected from our fleet of vehicles. Your work will directly impact the development of machine learning models that enhance the perception and prediction capabilities of autonomous systems. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure that our data infrastructure supports the rigorous demands of autonomous driving research and development.

You will also be responsible for improving the observability of our data systems, enabling the team to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues effectively. Your contributions will help identify rare and interesting real-world driving situations, which are critical for training and validating our machine learning models. You will participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
