Overview
Xero is hiring a People Experience Business Partner to act as a strategic advisor within their business unit. You'll navigate the full employee lifecycle and support leaders in making data-informed people decisions. This role is a maternity cover for about 10 months.

Who you are
You have experience as a People Experience Business Partner or in a similar HR role, where you've acted as a strategic advisor to leadership. You understand the importance of aligning people priorities with business outcomes and have a strong grasp of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to retention. Your ability to coach leaders through change and culture is a key strength, and you thrive in environments where you can make a meaningful impact on team dynamics and organizational capability.
You are data-driven in your approach, using insights to inform people decisions and strategies. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to build trust and rapport with leaders and team members alike. You are passionate about creating a positive work environment that fosters growth and development for all employees.
Desirable
Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced technologies that enhance employee experience. You may have a background in organizational development or change management, which would further enrich your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be embedded within your business unit, acting as a connector between people priorities and business outcomes. You will work closely with leaders to build organizational capability and enable high-performing teams. Your responsibilities will include navigating the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and performance management to change management and retention strategies. You will help leaders make thoughtful, data-informed people decisions while ensuring alignment with Plandayโs PX strategy and Xero Groupโs frameworks.
You will be a trusted voice to leadership, coaching them through change, culture, and growth. Your role will involve developing and implementing people solutions that are practical and human-centered, ensuring that the people and business strategies evolve together. You will also be responsible for supporting the business strategy with effective people solutions that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
