Your expertise in Visual Language Models (VLMs) allows you to enhance document understanding through multimodal data processing. You are skilled in data preparation, cleaning, and augmentation processes, ensuring high-quality data pipelines for model training. Your familiarity with transfer learning and pre-trained models accelerates your development process, optimizing performance on specific datasets. You are comfortable using cloud resources, particularly Amazon Web Services, to scale training and fine-tuning processes efficiently. Collaboration is key for you, as you work closely with data engineering and MLOps teams to deploy models into production and monitor their performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop, fine-tune, and evaluate Visual Language Models to enhance document understanding, focusing on multimodal data such as text, images, and technical drawings. You will design and implement data preparation, cleaning, and augmentation processes tailored to multimodal model training. Your work will ensure high-quality data pipelines that are crucial for the success of VLMs. You will leverage transfer learning and pre-trained models to accelerate model development and optimize performance on Xometry’s specific data. Additionally, you will collaborate with data engineering and MLOps teams to deploy VLMs into production, ensuring they perform effectively and meet the company's needs. Your role will also involve interpreting model outputs and continuously improving model accuracy and efficiency.
