You have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on technical leadership. You have a proven track record of guiding collaborative teams and mentoring engineers to enhance their skills. Your hands-on approach means you are comfortable coding and troubleshooting, and you enjoy creating documentation and technical diagrams to support your team. While previous knowledge of manufacturing or machine learning is not required, it is beneficial. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to adopt a 'lead by example' philosophy.

What you'll do

As a Principal Software Engineer at Xometry, you will lead the technical design and engineering of systems that leverage machine learning to predict and address challenges in manufacturing. Your expertise will be crucial in developing systems that integrate machine learning model predictions with part geometry and customer information, ultimately helping to optimize manufacturing costs and processes. You will also be responsible for creating technical documentation and diagrams that clearly communicate system designs and workflows.
