Who you are

You have a relevant degree or work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — your background has equipped you with the skills necessary to support complex infrastructure. You are proficient in both spoken and written English, allowing you to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Your hands-on experience with server work and familiarity with Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) infrastructure will be advantageous in this role. You understand the mechanics and complexities of international shipping and supply chains, which is crucial for managing resources effectively.

You have a solid understanding of high-performance computing environments and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Your experience with Linux systems is strong, and you are comfortable working with various scripting languages, particularly Python. You are familiar with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, which are essential for managing the HPC cluster effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the HPC infrastructure at XTX Markets. You will perform hands-on server work, ensuring that the systems are running optimally and efficiently. Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining documentation for the infrastructure. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure that the HPC resources meet the needs of the trading algorithms and research initiatives.

You will also be involved in the deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring that the HPC environment is scalable and resilient. Your expertise will help in optimizing the performance of the HPC cluster, allowing the firm to leverage its computational resources effectively. You will participate in the planning and execution of upgrades and expansions of the HPC infrastructure, contributing to the long-term research objectives of the firm.
