Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in backend development, particularly with Kotlin or Java, and are well-versed in building web applications using Spring Boot. Your expertise includes optimizing queries and managing relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, ensuring efficient data handling and performance.

You possess a strong understanding of RESTful API design and development, allowing you to create robust interfaces for vehicle data management. Your experience with Git enables you to collaborate effectively in a team environment, participating in code reviews and maintaining high code quality.

You are familiar with the principles of Hexagonal Architecture and have applied architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design in your projects. This knowledge helps you design scalable and maintainable systems that can adapt to changing requirements.

Your background may include experience with IoT platforms, particularly in device communication and OTA (Over-The-Air) update management, which is crucial for modern connected vehicles. You understand the importance of security and authentication, having worked with OAuth2 for API access management.

Desirable

Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipeline implementation is a plus, as it aligns with the modern development practices at 42dot. Familiarity with SaaS or PaaS development will also be beneficial, as it demonstrates your ability to work in cloud-based environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the backend systems for the ConnectedCarDataSolution (CCDS), focusing on policy-based vehicle data collection systems. You will also work on the development of an OTA update management system, ensuring that vehicles receive timely updates and improvements.

You will design APIs for vehicle data management, including vehicle information, status, and metadata, facilitating seamless communication between vehicles and cloud services. Your work will involve developing a data catalog and preset management system, enhancing the overall data handling capabilities of the platform.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key, as you will engage with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure that the backend systems meet user needs and business objectives. You will also participate in the design and implementation of communication protocols between vehicles and cloud infrastructure, contributing to the overall architecture of the system.
