You have over 8 years of experience in backend or platform development and operations, with a strong foundation in computer science or engineering. Your expertise in Go programming language is complemented by a deep understanding of compiled and statically typed languages, allowing you to design robust systems. You possess a thorough understanding of backend infrastructure components such as gateways, databases, and message brokers like Kafka, which are essential for building scalable applications.

Your experience includes working with media-related protocols such as RTP and WebRTC, enabling you to effectively handle video data transmission. You are familiar with video storage containers like MP4 and have utilized version control tools like Git in your projects. Your troubleshooting skills are advanced, and you have a knack for analytical thinking, which helps you resolve issues efficiently. You excel in coordinating diverse perspectives and engaging in effective communication to solve problems.

Desirable

You have a profound understanding of platform development and operations, particularly in cloud-based media services such as AWS Kinesis. Your experience includes creating simple web tools for testing and operational purposes within backend systems. You have also developed or operated video communication systems or services, which adds to your versatility. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD and orchestration tools, is a plus, as is your experience in developing and operating cloud services.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at 42dot, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing systems that facilitate the streaming and serving of video data generated by vehicles. You will define and implement communication protocols and data interfaces for clients, ensuring seamless integration with various devices, including in-vehicle systems, mobile applications, and web platforms. Your role will involve extensive testing and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise during the integration process.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and business stakeholders, to ensure that the media service platform meets the needs of users. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and performance of the media services provided to clients. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of the platform, leveraging your expertise to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
