Overview
42dot is seeking an IVI OS Engineer (Network) to customize and optimize Ethernet/Wi-Fi/Telephony frameworks for Android-based devices in vehicles. This role requires expertise in network manipulation techniques and a deep understanding of Android Automotive OS.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 4 years of experience in Linux/Android network system programming, showcasing your ability to customize and optimize communication frameworks for Android-based devices in vehicles. Your expertise includes VLAN-based network separation and ip rule-based network control, allowing you to design reliable and low-latency communication structures suitable for automotive environments.
You possess a deep understanding of Android network architecture and Automotive Ethernet, which enables you to implement effective network configurations that meet both performance and security requirements. Your experience with network-related frameworks such as iptables and ebpf demonstrates your capability to build optimal network environments.
What you'll do
In this role, you will customize and optimize Ethernet frameworks to ensure stable communication between Android devices and other vehicle systems. You will design a reliable and low-latency communication structure tailored for the automotive environment, ensuring seamless integration with various network types supported by Android Automotive OS.
You will utilize various network manipulation techniques, including packet filtering, routing tables, and VPN configurations, to create the best possible network environment for vehicle applications. Additionally, you will implement network system frameworks that allow for the separation of network configurations based on purpose and security rules, ensuring robust operation in diverse scenarios.
Your responsibilities will also include integrating remote Radio/Wi-Fi HALs and ensuring stable operation through external modems or built-in wireless devices. You will work closely with other Linux systems within the vehicle to ensure a cohesive network stack that supports LTE/5G communications and integrates with components like RILD and Radio HAL.
