Overview

AccuWeather is hiring a Product Manager for Digital Forecasting Systems to lead the strategy and development of their forecasting platforms. You'll ensure forecast accuracy and operational efficiency while collaborating with various teams. This role requires experience in product management and a strong understanding of digital systems.

Who you are

You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in digital systems or forecasting technologies. You understand the importance of delivering accurate and actionable forecasts and have a track record of leading product enhancements that improve operational efficiency. Your ability to coordinate between various teams, including engineering and design, is essential for success in this role. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards for product quality and user experience.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in prioritizing product features and enhancements ensures that you can manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are skilled at developing solutions that align with company goals.

What you'll do

As the Product Manager for Digital Forecasting Systems, you will own the strategy and ongoing improvement of AccuWeather’s digital forecasting platforms. You will lead the development of the Unified Forecast Database (UFDB) and ensure that all forecast products are accurate and aligned with the company's philosophy. Your role will involve prioritizing system enhancements that improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency, as well as collaborating with forecasting leadership, engineering, design, and external partners to deliver solutions from concept through launch.

You will establish and enforce standards for forecast communication and support training and process improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include evaluating the effectiveness of forecasting systems and products, ensuring they represent AccuWeather’s mission and commitment to Superior Accuracy™. You will be the central point of coordination for identifying quality issues and defining requirements, making your role critical to the success of the forecasting team.
